We are excited to embark on an adventure with you. Experience city and countryside on a city and port cruise to Rheinfelden and back.
On the ship, you can relax, observe the idyllic Rhine landscape, and enjoy a short break. The passage through the impressive locks in Birsfelden and Augst makes technology and Cruise tangible and offers a fascinating spectacle for young and old.
In the restaurant, we serve fine dishes with local ingredients and cool drinks for the aperitif. Spending time on the Rhine is good for the soul - promised.

During the Lock Cruise the onboard restaurant is open. Enjoy cold drinks and a nice lunch on the cruise to Rheinfelden and back.

Departure from Schifflände Basel at 11 a.m. Arrival in Rheinfelden at 1:30 p.m. Departure from Rheinfelden at 1:45 p.m. Arrival at Schifflände Basel at 3:50 p.m. You can find all other stations in between in the timetable.
Reserve a table in the serviced ship restaurant when purchasing a ticket. The reservation is intended for guests who wish to consume food and/or drinks during the cruise. It does not count as a pure seat reservation.

Holders of a BaselCard receive 25% off the Lock Cruise. With the BaselCard, a ticket must be purchased online, at the Tourist Info sales point at Barfüsserplatz, or at the city and port cruise sales point in advance and presented together during ticket control.

Dogs and bicycles are allowed on board and can be taken along for free.

Online you can book for up to 20 people including table reservation. À la carte consumption on board remains possible.
For groups of 21 or more, we ask you to request your reservation in advance via the contact form.
From May to October: Combine the Lock Cruise with an exciting tour of the Swisshalle saltworks and it will become a very special experience. The tour 'Experience the Salt' offers you an experience for all senses.
